Our Doctrine

What We Believe

We believe in the God of the Bible who created everything and longs to have a loving relationship with every person.

We believe Jesus is the Son of God who lived a sinless life and gave His life to purchase forgiveness for all of us.  Because of that, He is the only Savior of the world and the only doorway to God.

We believe the Holy Spirit is God who indwells those who believe in Jesus, gives each believer spiritual gifts to use in service to Him and others, and guides those who know God.  He also convinces those who do not yet know God of their need for a loving relationship with Him.

 
We believe the Bible is God’s Word and is a full and complete revelation of His will, character, purpose, and a guide for daily living.

 
We believe that because God wants to be in a loving relationship with everyone, He made that possible through what Jesus did when He died and rose again.

 
We believe that although God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, the way we “do” church must change to relate to people today.

 
We believe that we cannot compromise the truth but we must always seek better ways to share the truth, and always do so in a compassionate manner.

 
And, we believe that as a gathering of God’s people, there ought to be a real difference in us that will attract those apart from Jesus to come to Him.
